Dressed Up Ball Gown has large, heavily ruffled leaves, creamy white flowers, and excellent landscape performance. However, this plant should not be limited to only the garden bed as it has excellent presence in both mixed and mono containers. Ensure good drainage for the best performance. Coral bells are easy to grow and blend easily with most other perennials in the landscape. Because of their low, mounding habit, they are often used as edging along paths or in containers. Try cutting a few of the tall flower scapes for fresh bouquets!

  • 10-12 inches tall and 24-28 inches wide at maturity
  • Scape height 26-30 inches
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full shade (4 or less hours daily)
  • Space plants 24-28 inches apart for best results
  • Produces creamy white flowers mid summer
  • Maintains ruffled chartreuse foliage spring through hard frost, evergreen where winters are mild
  • Great for borders, containers, edges, landscapes, mass planting and as a focal point
  • Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while resisting deer

Care: Trim back tattered foliage in early spring. Fertilize with Proven Winners® Continuous Release Fertilizer in the spring.

I was actually leary about this plant as I had been disappointed in the past, by this particular plant. However, I am thoroughly impressed with this plant. I have planted it in a semi-shady area and it actually brightens the area up. Love it.
