Say goodbye to thorns and hello to color with Double Take® Orange Quince! This fresh take on an old-fashioned favorite brings all the springtime drama you love—minus the scratches. Its large, fully double blooms burst open in a vibrant, electric orange that stops garden visitors (and migrating orioles!) in their tracks.

Blooming heavily in early spring, with a touch of rebloom in summer and fall, this thornless beauty is as generous as it is gorgeous. Its dense branches are covered in vivid flowers that make stunning, long-lasting cut blooms. Tough, low-maintenance, and deer-resistant, Double Take® Orange is perfect for adding bold color to borders, foundation plantings, or spring cut flower arrangements.

  • 4-5 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success

  • Produces fully double, orange flowers in spring and then lightly reblooming in summer to fall
  • Maintains green foliage from spring through fall
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for mixed borders, cut flowers, hedges, landscapes and mass planting
