I purchased (5) Dolce® 'Wildberry' Coral Bells last fall to plant under a full shade tree on the north side of the house. They appeared to be in decent condition when they arrived, though packaged to a degree that made it difficult to get unpack without damaging such fragile plants. I lost a few leaves in the unpacking process, but still had a decent plant. Sadly, within a month, three had died. True to their word, I received a refund for the deceased plants. The two remaining plants survived the winter but withered and died late spring. They were within the zone of an area of yard in which was growing spring grass, so they received about 20 mins. of water twice a day. I'm contemplating purchasing replacements, but no point in throwing good money after bad if I am doing something wrong. Could the problem be my soil? Did they get too much water? Or possibly did I not get them planted deeply enough, as a dense network of tree roots made a sizable hole twice the width of the container and as deep nearly impossible. -- Feedback from a garden expert would be appreciated.

I bought these plants on two occasions and planted in a prepared bed with partial sunlight late in the day. All of them did well for a month or so and then about one-third of them died. Plenty of water, so the loss was a mystery. Never had this problem with any other PW plants.

Proven Winners Direct is a great company but I think the shipping part is the problem I have received replacement plants but they were in bad shape just like the first shipment I got plants that were really stressed out and never recovered

We recommend planting our plants as soon as possible after you receive them. Our plants are acclimated to the outdoors and will be the happiest in the ground!

We're happy to replace it with one of the plants in the link below since we no longer have the Dolce® 'Wildberry' Coral Bells in stock, or we can issue store credit if you wish. :)
