The Dark Lavender Chiffon® Rose of Sharon is a stunning shrub that delights with its lovely, ruffled anemone-like blooms in a striking medium purple hue. Its taller-than-wide habit makes it an excellent choice for hedging, screening, or adding interest to mixed borders. Throughout the summer, an abundance of these beautiful blooms dot the plant’s large, graceful structure creating a captivating display. With its elegant form and prolific flowering, Dark Lavender Chiffon® is perfect for those seeking a vibrant, low-maintenance addition to their landscape.

  • 8-12 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 6-10 feet apart for best results
  • Produces double lavender flowers throughout summer
  • Maintains dark green foliage spring through frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, screening, landscape, mass planting or as a focal point
  • Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while resisting deer
  • Heat, drought and salt tolerant, long blooming, low maintenance

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Requires well-draining soil. Regular pruning is not necessary. If any shaping is desired, do so in early spring. Note that Rose of Sharon is quite late to leaf out in spring, so be patient with it.

Plant was well watered before shipping, and was very quick in arriving. 3 days and in the ground she goes.
