Bobo hydrangea is engulfed by large white flowers beginning in summer. As the blooms age going into fall, they turn a lovely pink shade. These flowers are held upright on strong stems and continue to grow and lengthen as they bloom - no flopping over! This variety is compact, and the flowers cover every inch of the plant right down to the ground, making it a great addition in both the landscape and container gardens. 

  • 2.5-3 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 3 feet apart for best results
  • Produces large white flowers throughout summer aging to pink in fall
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for containers, landscapes and cut flowers
  • Dwarf variety, long blooming, fall interest, salt tolerant

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.

Ten perfectly packaged and healthy baby Bobos arrived at my home yesterday via free three-day shipping. I planted them today and couldn't be more pleased. I ordered the quart-size plants, so they’re only about six inches tall for now—but with time and care, they'll flourish. The savings were well worth it, especially compared to the $74 price tag for a full-size plant at my local garden center. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Bobo® Panicle Hydrangea (paniculata)

I purchased 2 Bobo hydrangeas because they were a size allowed by my condo association. They sat almost the entire first summer in nursery cans because of ongoing fence construction I finally got them in the ground in September, and they were saf looking things. They came back like gangbusters though! I was so delighted, I bought a 3rd for another location. They’ve all reached full size now, and make a gorgeous backdrop in my tiny pocket garden for purple liatris, pink garden phlox, and a pot filled with black cherry supertunias and angelonias. We've been having a lot of frost at night. But it seems to have some new leaves. I haven't seen any flower buds yet.0

Plants came in perfect! This was my first time ordering plants online, i was very hesitant to order plants online. Fortunately it only took 2 days from the day I ordered for the package to be at my doorstep. They were packaged nicely and came green and healthy. This was my very first order from Proven Winners. The quart size hydrangea arrived in good condition and has subsequently leafed out. It appears to be healthy.
The only downside is the actual cost of the plant, the high cost of shipping and the exorbitantly high threshold for free shipping.

Hello, I’ve been purchasing shipments of 10 Bobo Hydrangeas at a time. This shipment had very young starts, but one of the ten in particular no longer had a stem and only a few immature roots remaining in the pot. Unfortunately the cup of soil was dumped and I have no picture to include. If this could possibly be replaced I would greatly appreciate it..
