The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this on our blog.
Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. These begonias prefer moist but not wet, well draining soil. These are not hardy, but the corms can be dug up, stored for the winter and replanted the next spring.
