Compared to Supertunia® Royal Velvet, Supertunia Mini Vista Ultramarine is the same shade of royal purple, but its blooms are smaller and plentiful, covering the attractive, densely branched canopy. Supertunia Mini Vista petunias also work well in landscapes, especially in tighter spaces such as bordering walkways, where they grow vigorously to form a colorful edging without overrunning the sidewalk.

  • 6-12 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 10-11
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 12-18 inches apart for best results
  • Produces rich blue-purple flowers from planting to hard frost
  • Maintains green foliage in a mounded-trailing habit from spring through frost
  • Great for containers, edging, groundcover, landscapes, mass planting
  • Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds
  • Heat tolerant, drought tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary

The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this in our blog.

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Give a light trim anytime you think it's needed or at least once in July and once in August. Never trim off more than 20% of the branches.

I planted Ultramarine with Violet Star and a Sparkling Amethyst Superbena. It did take a while for things to get going but now, in mid-August, the basket is amazing. The density of blooms is wild. It's covered. The superbena kind of got gobbled up by the vistas. I don't think I would include that next time. The color combo is great up close. From the road the Ultramarine is so dark that it's not much of a show-stopper, but up close it's beautiful. If I use it again I think I will plant it in a container and not one of the hanging baskets. It is one that needs to be admired up close.

I got these as a replacement plant for one that arrived damaged. I have wanted to test them in the garden because they are one of my favorite plants. The color of these plants is amazing. They have continued to spread and grow and completely filled my pot, but i was not able to get a good picture before a storm caused some damage. I'm sure it will bloom again, and I will be sure to get some amazing pictures to share. I can't say enough nice things about this plant and will definite be planting in my clients' properties and recommending to new clients. Proven winners direct have the best quality plants I have seen, oh and love the packaging and the quick delivery.

Every i purchased is doing great. The items came in the sleeves but really began spreading out as soon as i planted them in pots. I love proven winners but difficult to find here in San Antonio. I Superbenas have been really difficult to find this year.
