Little Lime Punch® begins its show in early summer with handsome lime-green blooms. But it’s as the summer progresses when you see the true difference. Its blooms gradually mature to bright Hawaiian Punch-red… and then it reblooms! Creating a mix of lime green, white, pink, and dark pink blooms all on one compact little shrub. It fits perfectly into mixed beds, on patios in containers, or in foundation plantings to enliven any garden.

  • 3-5 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 3-5 feet apart for best results
  • Produces green flowers that gradually age to bright red throughout summer
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, landscapes, hedges, cut or dried flowers
  • Salt tolerant, long blooming, fall interest

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.

I'm very pleased with this purchase! They arrived just 2 days after I placed my order. I didn't think they'd arrive so fast and was actually out of town when they came in! A neighbor placed the box in our truck overnight so it wouldn't be sitting on the front step. I took the plants out of the box 2 days after delivery, and they were still in great shape! I got them in the ground a few days after that and they've been growing great the past couple of weeks! I can't wait to see the blooms when this come in. They're in a spot along my back porch that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. I added Rosetone fertilizer about a week after planting, according to a recommendation I've read.

There is everything to love about getting plants from Proven Winners. I live in an area with hot, dry summers, flash cold winters, and long droughts. My Proven Winners seem to outlast other varieties and I really have to appreciate that so my whole garden isn't filled with just three varieties of shrub that survive this nonsense.
