Fire Light blooms emerge creamy-white and age to a vivid red for lots of summer color. This low maintenance shrub has huge, full flower heads and sturdy, strong stems. It makes a great cut flower, fresh or dried, and can be used as a hedge, specimen, or incorporated into flower gardens and foundation plantings.

  • 6-8 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 6-8 feet apart for best results
  • Produces creamy-white flowers that age to pink and red throughout summer
  • Maintains green foliage spring through frost
  • Great for borders, landscapes, hedges, cut or dried flowers
  • Salt tolerant, long blooming, fall interest

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.
