Supertunia® Picasso in Purple™ is a stunning variety that features vibrant purple flowers with striking lime green edges, creating a bold and eye-catching display. Known for its vigorous growth and slightly mounded habit, Supertunia petunias work beautifully as both fillers and spillers in containers, offering a lush, cascading effect. They also excel in landscapes, particularly when placed near the front of beds, where their colorful blooms can shine. This award-winning variety is heat and drought-tolerant, attracts pollinators, and requires no deadheading, ensuring continuous beauty with minimal maintenance throughout the season.

  • 6-12 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 10-11
  • Plant in part/full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 12-24 inches apart for best results
  • Produces purple rimmed with chartreuse flowers spring through frost
  • Maintains green foliage spring through frost
  • Great for landscapes, containers, hanging baskets, window boxes
  • Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds
  • Heat and drought tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary

The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this in our blog.

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Give a light trim anytime you think it's needed or at least once in July and once in August. Never trim off more than 20% of the branches.

Ordered 8 pots and they arrived in great shape. Lovely color to my new garden. Already recovering from the transplant.

The Picasso Supertunia is amazing. The color is fibrant with that extra chartreuse edging. It is surviving a horribly hot Summer in Texas. I have cut it back once and it flowered up again in a perfect mound in my small hanging pot on my fence in the pool area. Lots of water and Proven Winners slow release fertilizer. I love this plant so much, next year may have it in all the pots on my fence and anywhere else I can fit it in.

I received my Picasso in Purple from you a couple weeks ago and they have already recovered from shipping and are covered in blooms! I have purchased many of the Supertunia series from you this summer and all of them are wonderfully floriferous! They outperform the older spreading petunia varieties easily. Well done

Picasso is great. It is taking over the pot it’s in and standing up well to the very hot weather we have been having. I’d buy this one again.
