Tortuga naturally grows as a low-mounded groundcover, with pleasing emerald-green foliage. It is a tough, sun-loving evergreen that transforms difficult spots into a carpet of green. It is salt, heat, and drought tolerant once established and is deer resistant and native to North America.

Very interesting addition to my garden!

These little guys have taken well to planting and have already put on fresh growth. I have supplemented water since planting as we have had very long dry periods here in southeastern PA. I look forward to what these plants do in the coming years.

Waiting to wake up

I love this plant and put it in a spot as suggested that is barren, sunny and dry and am watering plenty. I am hoping it will get growing but is very green!
