Sunshine Blue II has vivid gold foliage and blue blooms from late summer to early fall. It's one of the hardiest Caryopteris yet and thrives in hot, dry, sunny spots. It is heat and drought tolerant once established, attracts bees, and does not require deadheading for continued bloom.
- 2-3 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 5-9
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!
Care: Cut back hard in spring, after the new growth emerges. Avoid late-season planting in the coldest parts of its hardiness range. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.
