Little Lime® Hydrangea (Paniculata)

Our shrubs are currently going dormant. The foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

Little Lime Hydrangea produces lime green blooms in summer, it ages to a rich pink through fall. It is small enough to grow in containers and also stands out as a bold mass planting. Its bright bloom coloration makes it an excellent choice for cut flower gardens and can be used fresh or dried.

  • 3-5 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Grow in zones 3-8
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates.

Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Prune in spring to encourage fresh growth and an abundance of buds. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.

    Good shipping

Hydrangea arrived in good condition, unfortunately the extreme weather (100) has made it impossible to plant them, fingers crossed it cools off soon

Thank you for reaching out, we are happy to help! Your plants have already been acclimated to the outdoors and will be happiest in the ground as soon as possible. There is no need to wait to get your hands dirty! Here are some tips for planting in hot weather: Plant early in the mornings or late in the evenings when the air tends to be cooler and the sun less intense. Try to avoid the midday sun, which is the hottest and highest in the sky. Water, water, water! Water before you plant, soaking the soil in the pot. Water during planting by filling the hole with water a time or two prior to putting the plant in the ground. The goal is to get the soil around the plant’s roots and beyond super hydrated. Then, loosen the soil around the plant, put the plant into the hole as standard, and water it well one last time. Be sure to deeply water daily and consistently for the first week (sometimes longer- your plants will tell you!) to make sure the heat of the summer does not deter it from establishing its healthy, glorious roots. When watering, be sure to water the base of the plant. That will help keep the leaves dry and prevent fungal infections. Also, water in the morning so the leaves can dry out during the day and before the temperature drops at night. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions! :) Sincerely, PWD Team

    Little lime

Plants arrived healthy and displaying new growth. Three of the four plants are ones I would have personally selected. The fourth plant is quite a bit smaller and sparse. Hoping it catches up.

    IMPRESSED

I have ordered plants/flowers from various other online places over the years and have always been underwhelmed when they arrived or how they grew. I received my order today from Proven Winners Direct and WOW, I was impressed the moment I opened the box! A beautiful Little Lime Hydrangea greeted me! Much larger than I expected, multiple beautiful blooms already on it! It is a happy, healthy plant. I was ridiculously excited about this ( more than any one person should be) and I immediately read the directions and got to work digging the hole and planting the Hydrangea. I can’t wait to see how it does in the next few weeks, months and years! 100% have my future business!!
