Please note: Our Ships Now shrubs are still waking up from dormancy! In the spring, shrubs begin to emerge from dormancy with swelling buds and potentially new growth as temperatures rise and daylight hours increase. Most dormant shrubs start leafing out in April, depending on the specific plant and local weather conditions.

The tight, compact habit of Cityline® Paris hydrangea makes it a well-behaved garden or landscape plant, while its vivid deep red flowers make a bold and stylish statement. One of the smallest hydrangeas on the market, it does not need pruning (in fact, don't prune it at all!) and its deep green mildew-resistant foliage looks gorgeous all season. Cityline® Paris keeps its red color in most any soil, developing only purplish centers in acidic soils.

  • 1-3 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Grow in zones 5-9
  • Plant in part sun (4-6 hours) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates.

Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Pruning is usually not needed but may be pruned immediately after flowering if desired. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.

Hydrangeas arrived covered with beautiful rose colored flowers. They didn’t survive a heavy rain when planted, but after being ptuned new buds are forming. I look forward to a season of the bright colors. I bought 3 bushes which should be in my garden for many years.

The hydrangea was shipped and received quickly. It was packaged well. I planted it the next day after receiving and it seems to be doing fine. It’s put on a small amount of growth so far but I’m not expecting it to do much this year. I am looking forward to it blooming next year.

Not very good. It died. I would love to have another because I loved the color. Perhaps it was the heat or something, but it is dead. Replacement possible?
