Summerific® 'All Eyes on Me' Rose Mallow (Hibiscus hybrid) - New to Proven Winners Direct™

Our perennials are currently going dormant. The foliage and blooms begin to brown and die back. We provide a hard trim in the greenhouse to support this process. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

Introducing the new Summerific® 'All Eyes on Me' Hibiscus in a new two gallon container! This beauty still boasts the trademark 8" blooms in a compact package. With blushing pink flowers from top to bottom and lush, dark green leaves, this plant will steal all the attention.

  • 42 inches tall and wide at maturity
  • Grow in zones 4-9
  • Plant in part to full sun (4-6+ hours daily)

Care: Hibiscus love the sun and need moist, well-drained soil. Keeping these plants watered will result in larger flowers and lush foliage. Deadheading will improve the appearance of the plant, but is not necessary for continued bloom. It is best to plant Hibiscus in the garden before the heat of the summer arrives, and should be heavily mulched the first winter. In spring, cut back any remaining stems before new growth appears. Do not trim back in fall. A strong pair of loppers or a saw will be necessary to cut this plant back. Be advised that Hibiscus is always one of the last perennials to emerge in spring. Be patient, even if you think it is dead, it most likely isn't. Its vigorous growth rate more than makes up for this late start, however. Japanese beetles find these plants especially delicious. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.

Never have I ever seen...

Never have I ever seen such a beautiful and healthy plant. I grow English roses so I’m used to seeing beautiful flowers but never this big and on a baby plant no less. I’m definitely planting a hedge of these before the winter frost hits…. I wish I could show you a picture of this beautiful baby in action. :-)
