New for 2024, the Bloomerang® Purpink™ Reblooming Lilac is, without a doubt, an attention grabber. Blooms are both purple and pink, and quite soft. As a re-bloomer, you can expect a great show of color in the spring and then again in summer! Furthermore, this happens to be one of the most prolific bloomers that we offer! It's perfect for any area that needs a big blast of color, and a must-have for any gardener that wants to display every color under the sun!
- 3-5 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 3-7
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!
Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and early summer.
It requires well-drained soil; lilacs cannot tolerate soggy, wet conditions. Prune immediately after its spring bloom, if desired. Never cut it back in fall, winter, or early spring - doing so will remove the spring flower buds. It is not necessary to prune Bloomerang® lilacs in order for them to re-bloom.
