Introducing the New Proven Winners® leafjoy littles™! Available in irresistible 3.5-inch containers, leafjoy littles make it easier than ever to grow your love (and your collection!) of indoor plants.
Nerve Plants earned their common name from the intricate, network-like appearance of their colorful veins contrasting against the solid backdrop of their green leaves. Say hello to leafjoy littles™ Network News™ Daytime™ Nerve Plant. This elegant pink nerve plant boasts creeping, low-growing foliage and intricate light pink veining on cool green leaves. Perfect for adding a touch of sophisticated charm to any space. A nerve plant's leaves will scorch if placed in a too-sunny spot, as it is susceptible to leaf burn. Keep it away from the hot sun, and give it bright but filtered light. They are also known to "faint" if left without water for too long but they will bounce back after rehydrating, so be sure to provide consistently moist soil.
- 4-8 inches tall and 12-18 inches wide at maturity
- Prefers high humidity with temperatures between 60-85 F
- Thrives in bright to low light, adaptable to nearly any light condition but avoid direct sun
- Maintains deep green leaves with gorgeous pink veins and a low-growing, compact habit
- Great for compact spaces, desks, shelves, tabletops, bright spaces, sunny windows, south-facing rooms
Care Information
- Temperature: For optimal performance, keep at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
- Light: Nerve plants prefer bright areas but direct sunlight will scorch the leaves, a well-lit windowsill or patio door with indirect sun are good options.
- Humidity: They need moderate to high levels of humidity with leaf damage occurring when humidity levels drop. A pebble tray or frequent misting may help add humidity if needed, but a humidifier is a better option.
- Placement: Avoid cold drafts and direct airflow from heaters in the winter months as very dry air can cause leaf drop.
- Water: Nerve plants also prefer to have consistently moist, but not soggy soils. If it gets too dry it will dramatically "faint" or wilt, but will bounce back after watering. Aim to provide a consistent schedule and water when the top inch of soil is dry.
- Soil: Add some perlite and/or orchid bark to help fluff up the potting mix and provide better drainage.
- Growing: Feed once per month at half strength when plant is actively growing.
