Let's Dance Sky View® Reblooming Hydrangea (Macrophylla x Serrata) - Proven Winners® 2024 Hydrangea of the Year

Our shrubs are currently going dormant. The foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

Let's Dance Sky View® Reblooming Hydrangea (Macrophylla) is a standout for consistent, yearly blooming, whether you grow it in Michigan or Florida. Selected from our extensive Let's Dance® hydrangea breeding program for its ability to, not only conserve its old wood buds in the face of weather challenges, but also its ability to continue creating new flowers. You'll also love how easy this cultivar is to turn blue, which is what we recommend since it’s so spectacular this way! Flowers emerge a beautiful sky blue with a honeydew-green eye before maturing to a full sky blue. Its nice compact growing habit makes it both a good container and garden plant.

  • 24-36 inches tall and 24-48 inches wide at maturity
  • Grow in zones 4-9
  • Plant in partial to full sun in northern climates and part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates.

Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant food in spring and mid-summer. It's best left unpruned except to remove any dead wood in spring, once the new growth has emerged.
