Waiting

We got our plants and they arrived alive and looking well. I am keeping an eye on them until I can plant them in the ground. If they look anything like the picture I will be pleased.

Guard from the bunnies

I had a pink and a blue chiffon rose of Sharon in my yard in Wichita for more than a dozen years and loved them so much that when I moved to Topeka they were the second thing I couldn't live without (iris were first). I bought a blue, a pink and a magenta chiffon and put them in my new front yard. The only problem I have had was the bunnies (I have a million of them here). Until I found Critter Ridder Deer & Rabbit Repellent on Amazon (tried the granules - no good) they nibbled all three (they ate all the leaves on the blue one), but now they're thriving. All three have had at least one bloom - can't wait 'til they get enough size that I don't have to worry about rabbits.
