Current Location:
Tricolor Sweet Potato Vine features vibrant, multicolored foliage in shades of green, pink, and white, creating a striking display throughout the season. This vigorous plant makes an excellent spiller in containers and a beautiful ground cover in the landscape, quickly adding texture and color to any space. While its fast growth can sometimes overwhelm less vigorous plants, it’s easy to manage—simply cut back or remove stems as needed to maintain balance. Perfect for adding bold, lively foliage to your garden, Tricolor Sweet Potato Vine thrives with minimal effort, making it a great addition to both decorative pots and garden beds.
  • 4-8 inches tall and 24-36 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zone 11
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 24-36 inches apart for best results
  • Maintains tricolored foliage spring to frost
  • Great for containers, landscapes
  • Heat tolerant, foliage interest, deadheading not necessary

The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this in our blog.

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Prune to shape as desired throughout the season.
