The website said the one gallon plant would be somewhere between 6” and 24”. I expected to get a 6” stick that wouldn’t match my three other purple pillars. I received a healthy, very full 24” plant that bloomed the day after I put it in the ground.

Beautiful and thriving!! Thank you for sharing your photo with us!

Beautiful throughout my 10-month "spring+summer" season!

This has been just the best backyard plant I ever grew. I bought it in the quart size 4 years ago, and now mine is 18 feet tall. I live in a terrific location in the San Francisco Bay Area (Santa Clara, near the San Jose Int'l Airport). Im in 9a/10b with very a very short heat/humidity season of about 6 weeks. I have nothing but clay throughout my yard. I put the plant In a slightly raised bed (6"). I watered it at the bottom, on the ground from the trunk for 2' in every direction (4' across) until this, the 4th year. Now I don't water it at all. So the roots must have made it through the 2' of clay down to the water. There is no pruning or shaping. I haven't had a single pest yet. My regular PW pink rose of Sharon is only so-so. Stick with these pillars.

It's so beautiful that I bought a 2 gallon red-colored one from the big nursery near me. It cost 50 bucks, but I know it will grow in my area. I will buy every color PW comes out with.

The leaves are beautiful for months, and then it flowers nonstop until early November.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled that your Purple Pillar® Rose of Sharon has flourished in your garden and brought you beautiful foliage and nonstop blooms. Enjoy!😊🌺

Excellent quality

Excellent quality. 3 1-gal shipped during a heat wave, most leaves had fallen off by delivery. Stems were green so I planted with confidence. All 3 are full of new growth and happily thriving in their new home. First time ordering plants online, will definitely order again.

We're thrilled to hear that your plants are thriving! Enjoy!😊🌺

Beautiful BUT it’s reseeding and making babies everywhere! I thought purple pillar wouldn’t be invasive like the older varieties of rose of Sharon but it has become a problem in my zone 7 Virginia yard. It’s even popping up all over the lawn.

One is gorgeous, the other one, same color and type I purchased does not have the same color to the leaves but is growing nicely just the same. I am guessing sun versus shade os the situation

Purple Pillar® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)

The plants arrived in great condition and already had some blooms on it. I kept it inside for a few weeks because we were having extremely high temperatures. It's still hot here but I acclimated the plants slowly, increasing the amount of direct sun each day till I felt like they could tolerate their permanent location. I finally planted them last week but still provided some shade till our heat wave is over and they are doing great. They are putting on new growth and new blooms. They will be gorgeous in the garden as they mature. Love PWD! I can never find the plants I want in my area and PWD always has strong, healthy plants and a good selection.

We received our 6 purple pillar rose of Sharon plants a few days late, due to red flag alert fire danger shipping delay. We watered and began planting the following day. Fortunately, the weather had cooled. The next day a few of the plants had started booming! The plants were just about dry when they arrived but look very lush and healthy, about 3 feet tall. Very pleased!

Haven’t planted them yet but have 2 blooms! Love the color and the fact they won’t spread like other Rose of Sharon. Arrived a little beaten up looking. Stems had been recently been trimmed and there were yellow leaves. But the plant is recovering nicely.

The Purple Pillar Rose of Sharon plants we received was well packaged and in great condition when we received it. I was concerned about the shipping because we live in the coast in Florida and it has been very hot. We planted it the day after we received it and it has already bloomed and has more buds ready to open. The blooms are beautiful. Very happy!
