Purple Pillar has semi-double purple flowers summer through fall. It is drought and heat tolerant, deer-resistant, and attracts bees. This unusual columnar habit makes it a real space saver - if you thought you didn't have enough space to grow rose of Sharon, Purple Pillar is perfect for you. Try it in containers, or flanking your front door, or simply as an accent in your landscape.
Care: Prune to shape as needed in early spring. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.
Planted late October but arrived in perfect condition. Got it in the ground immediately and it hasn't skipped a beat. It's planted in a narrow space at the corner of my house to hide some wiring from an ac unit just installed so I'm hoping for a quick growth rate but the purple flowers should look pretty against our white house.
We are having 90+ weather with no rain but these are still just as happy as can be. Even when I forgot to water them for several days after planting in this heat. Can't wait to see the blooms. It is full so any day!!
Items look very healthy and packaged really well. I look forward to many years of enjoyment watching them grow.
