Dressed Up™ 'Ball Gown' Coral Bells (Heuchera hybrid)

Our perennials are currently going dormant. The foliage and blooms begin to brown and die back. We provide a hard trim in the greenhouse to support this process. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

Dressed Up Ball Gown has large, heavily ruffled leaves, creamy white flowers, and excellent landscape performance. However, this plant should not be limited to only the garden bed as it has excellent presence in both mixed and mono containers. Ensure good drainage for the best performance.

Coral bells are easy to grow and blend easily with most other perennials in the landscape. Because of their low, mounding habit, they are often used as edging along paths or in containers. Try cutting a few of the tall flower scapes for fresh bouquets!

  • 10-12 inches tall and 24-28 inches wide at maturity
  • Grow zones 4-9
  • Plant in part shade to full shade

Our perennial plants are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage and blooms are browning and dying back—this is completely normal! We give the plants a hard trim in our greenhouse to support them as they conserve energy for the next growing season. Rest assured, your perennials will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Thrives in part shade but will grow in full shade. Plant in humus-rich, well-drained soil. Trim back tattered foliage in early spring. Salt tolerant. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
