Double Play Doozie foliage emerges in blazing, deep red in early spring, late spring brings bright, glowing purple-red flowers, and it blooms all summer. It is non-invasive, meaning it sets no seed and won't spread. All the energy it would spend developing seed goes into blooming instead, so it reblooms through fall. It does it all with the same good looks, drought tolerance, and deer resistance that you expect from spirea, too.

Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)

Care: Give it a light trim after its first bloom in late spring if you'd like to see a reflush of the bright red new growth. Remove the oldest, woodiest stems every couple of years or so to keep growth fresh and vigorous. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
