Shadowland® 'Echo the Sun' Hosta (Hosta hybrid)

Our perennials are currently going dormant. The foliage and blooms begin to brown and die back. We provide a hard trim in the greenhouse to support this process. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

This exceptional hosta features thick, wedge-shaped leaves with beautifully rippled, yellow margins that provide a bold contrast to the more traditional green foliage. Its low mounded growth habit makes it an ideal choice for borders, ground covers, or as a standout feature in shaded garden areas. In mid-summer, delicate lavender flowers emerge on slender scapes, adding a touch of elegance and attracting hummingbirds with their sweet nectar. Easy to grow and incredibly hardy, 'Echo the Sun' thrives in partial to full shade and requires minimal maintenance while delivering visual interest with its dynamic color and texture. Our perennial plants are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage and blooms are browning and dying back—this is completely normal! We give the plants a hard trim in our greenhouse to support them as they conserve energy for the next growing season. Rest assured, your perennials will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Clean away the dead foliage after frost to prevent insect problems. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
