Desert Plains displays bottlebrush-shaped flowers that emerge dusky purple and age to tan atop the upright vase-shaped clump of green foliage which takes on red, orange, and gold tones in fall. This perennial grass resists deer and makes a beautiful focal point in the garden.
- 36-48 inches tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 5-9
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours).
Care: Leave foliage standing through winter if desired, but cut back before new growth appears in spring. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
