Our perennials are currently going dormant. The foliage and blooms begin to brown and die back. We provide a hard trim in the greenhouse to support this process. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!

Mexican Feather Grass has tan flowers and bright green foliage in late summer. It is not recommended for California gardens, where it has been identified as invasive. When the grass turns brown it can be removed immediately or in the spring.
