Please Note: Our Ships Now shrubs will currently ship dormant. The foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off. During dormancy, plants go inactive to conserve their energy for the next growing season. This happens naturally as seasons change!
You must select Size and Ship Week to see accurate sale price and availability.
All preorder plants must have the same Ship Week selected to validate your order.

Legend of the Fall Bottlebrush has honey-scented white flowers in Spring and gorgeous red-orange fall foliage. It is one of the most shade tolerant landscape shrubs, thrives even in hot climates, and resists deer. This lovely native shrub lends an informal, natural charm anywhere it is planted.

  • 4-5 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 4-5 feet apart for best results
  • Produces white, honey scented flowers in spring
  • Maintains green foliage starting in spring, before transitioning to it's gorgeous autumn beauty
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for borders, edges, landscapes, mass planting or as a focal point
  • Attracts bees and butterflies while resisting deer
  • Native to North America, heat tolerant, fall interest, low maintenance

Please note: Our Ships Now shrubs are still waking up from dormancy! In the spring, shrubs begin to emerge from dormancy with swelling buds and potentially new growth as temperatures rise and daylight hours increase. Most dormant shrubs start leafing out in April, depending on the specific plant and local weather conditions.

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring. Little pruning is needed. If you do wish to prune, do so after flowering in spring. The hotter your climate, the more shade becomes imperative, especially during the hottest part of the day.
