Ladybird Sunglow displays stunning sunny, yellow blooms with light green foliage bursting with texture. If you are looking for a tough, self-sufficient plant that does not mind being ignored, this Texas Primrose is the plant for you. These are heat-tolerant plants that love well-drained soil and are native to the Southwest.

Care: This plant is great in containers where good drainage is ensured but is also a great garden plant as long as well-drained soil is available. It is very heat tolerant and is native to regions with low humidity and periods of drought. Overwatering is the most likely problem you'll have with these plants.
For plants in the landscape, a dose of controlled release plant food at planting will usually be sufficient. If you live in a climate with a very long summer, reapplying after 3 or 4 months may be beneficial. For plants in containers, a dose of controlled release plant food at planting time is also recommended. However, reapplication of plant food is more likely to be needed in containers.
If your planting gets a bit open or straggly looking, you can use a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears to trim it back. Look to take no more than 1/3 the volume of the plant.
