Be My® First Love Calla Lily

Be My® First Love Calla Lily hybrid boasts lush green foliage with delicate white markings below luscious hot pink, trumpet-shaped blooms, It is sure to bring pink passion alive in your gardens! The Be My® series will bloom for 6 to 8 weeks in your garden or as a potted plant indoors. The spathe (what we call the flower) can persist for up to 12 weeks and mature into richer colors as it ages. As an added bonus, Calla Lilies make gorgeous long-lasting cut flowers as well!

Care:

Calla lilies look delicate, but they are quite easy to grow! They prefer consistently moist soil with good drainage and grow best in partial to full sun. A dose of Proven Winners® Time Release Fertilizer is helpful and will encourage growth. The spathe can persist on the plant for long periods of time while maintaining its gorgeous glow, however, if they do become unsightly you can remove them by simply snapping at the stem. While summer blooming is expected with spring planting, if they are planted later in the season, they will bloom later. If planted late enough they will bloom in the fall. If grown in pots, keeping the plant pot bound (leaving no room for the roots to expand) will encourage more blooms.
