Spilled Wine Weigela Shrubs display fabulous deep purple foliage and bright pink spring flowers. It grows wider than tall, making it the perfect choice for edging beds or walkways and for incorporating under windows in your landscaping. And it resists deer.

Care: Prefers well-drained soils but is extremely adaptable to other soil types. Pruning is best done immediately after flowering if desired. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.

arrived in timely matter, however as im in zone 8 it still looks like it did upon arrival. over the next few months a more accurate review would be preferred.

Looking good

I had previously ordered the larger weigela, which were very well developed and are continuing to bloom! The little ones are much younger plants and I had to be more careful when planting. I am looking forward to seeing them flourish in the coming years.

Beautiful plants

I ordered four of the Spilled Wine Weigela - I just couldn't resist those beautiful flowers. The plants were shipped quickly, but as I tracked them I noticed there was a delay by the shipper due to damage. Ugh. I received the box one day late, and expected a mess. The box looked like the bottom had given out, and it was freshly taped by the shipper. When I opened it, I discovered the plants still intact, but some of the soil was missing. No problem. I took them out, gave them water (the soil was still damp), and set them in the sun. They perked right up and are doing well. I can't wait until next Spring to see the blooms!
