Hot and Heavy is a hot and spicy pepper, but not so hot you'll need to call the fire department. Glossy foliage minimizes water loss and contributes to low water needs for this plant. It works well in landscapes and containers and may need trellising to maintain the upright habit.
Fruit sets and matures quickly once ripe fruit begins to present. Fruit transitions from green to orange to red, with multiple colors represented on the plant at the same time. It can be harvested when they begin to show good color and are fully ripe when solid red. Grow in 12-18" containers for best results. Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food.
- 16-24" tall & 12-18" wide at maturity
- Annual except in zones 10-11
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
