A rather compact shrub, Blue Diddley® boasts gorgeous summer flowers that are sure to impress. It's tolerant to both heat and drought while resisting deer, which makes it a very versatile shrub in just about any area of the landscape. It can be used to create shorter boarders, variations in height, or simply as an amazing looking addition to your yard!
- 3-6 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 5-9
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
Care: In the north, zones 5-6, this plant acts like a perennial and dies back to the ground, but regrows and flowers much like a butterfly bush (buddleia). It is slow to break bud in the spring, so do not panic if the plant looks dead, it will sprout new shoots and make a fine specimen in due time. It is a shrub or small tree in the south. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food every spring.
