If you like the look of a fiddle leaf fig but want something a little easier to grow, try Ficus Audrey. Its large, velvety, textured, green leaves and smooth, light-colored bark will bring a jungle-like feel to your living room. This is a fast-growing houseplant that will fill a corner near an east-facing window and can reach heights of 5 to 10 feet indoors. Other common names include 'Strangler Fig'. In the wild, it can grow 60 to 100 feet tall!
It is considered to be a sacred tree in India, and it starts growing as an epiphyte on a host tree. As it grows on the host tree, aerial roots form on its horizontal branches which drop to the ground and provide support. It eventually envelops the host tree and completely smothers it, hence the common name "Strangler Fig."
The striking appearance combined with easy care requirements makes for effortless ownership of the Ficus Benghalensis ‘Audrey’. The deep green velvet leaves really make a statement that will look great in your living space.

Care Information
- For optimal performance, keep at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
- Prefers higher humidity.
- Feed once per month at half strength when plant is actively growing.
- Protect furniture when watering.
- This plant loves warm temperatures, ideally above 70 degrees, so be sure not to place it near a door or vent that will let in cold air.
- Let the top 2 to 3 inches of soil dry out a bit before you water it again, and never let it sit in standing water.
- Add some perlite and/or orchid bark to an all-purpose potting mix for a great growing medium.
- Dust its broad leaves so they can continue to photosynthesize properly, especially in lower light conditions. Placement in front of a sunny window is ideal.
