Black Lace Elderberry has intense purple-black foliage that is finely cut like lace. Its soft pink flowers bloom in early summer then make way for elderberries, which can be harvested for making wine and jam. It attracts birds and resists deer. To produce berries, you'll need a Black Beauty, Instant Karma, or Laced Up elderberry as a pollinator.
- 6-8 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 5-7
- Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
Care: Best if pruned immediately after blooming. Can be pruned to the ground each year and grown like a perennial. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
